ESSA Compound Annex –
Cairo, Egypt

Overview

U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO)

TDG is supporting the design of critical infrastructure upgrades at the ESSA Compound Annex in Cairo, Egypt. This 15-acre State Department facility includes eight interconnected buildings experiencing widespread duct bank collapse.  Our scope under Task Order #1 includes revising the existing telecom infrastructure design to reduce costly re-excavation by strategically routing conduit through interior ceiling spaces and corridors. We are producing a detailed 7-sheet drawing set that includes an updated site plan, conduit riser diagrams, telecom backbone layouts, and infrastructure details at building entrances.  The project ensures improved connectivity, resilience, and reduced disruption to ongoing operations across the compound.
