SSA Compound Annex – Cairo, Egypt
Client: U.S. Department of State – Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO)
TDG is supporting critical infrastructure upgrades at the 15-acre ESSA Compound Annex in Cairo, Egypt. The site includes eight interconnected buildings facing widespread duct bank collapse. Under Task Order #1, we’re revising the telecom infrastructure design to reduce costly re-excavation by rerouting conduit through interior ceiling spaces and corridors. Our 7-sheet drawing set includes an updated site plan, riser diagrams, backbone layouts, and entrance details, ensuring improved connectivity, resilience, and minimal disruption to operations.

TDG is a core team member supporting SAAM Architecture on a new A-E MATOC with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New York District. The contract provides on-call A-E services for military and federal facilities. We contribute expertise in facility planning, architectural design, telecom infrastructure, site/civil coordination, and construction documentation, supporting mission-critical projects that enhance infrastructure readiness and long-term planning across the district.
TDG Internship Opportunity
TDG is excited to welcome Isabella, our newest intern for Summer 2025! Isabella was a standout finalist in our annual scholarship last year. She is a 2025 graduate of Florida A&M University, where she earned her B.S. in Architectural Studies. She will be returning to FAMU this fall to earn her NAAB-accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree. She has already made great strides in her academic and professional journey, having been recognized as a recipient of the Gensler Design Studio Award and holding leadership roles, including FAMU AIAS Vice President and Publications Chair for the Alpha Rho Chi Seshait Chapter. We are pleased to welcome Isabella to the team and look forward to our work this summer.

On April 25, TDG threw a successful surprise Retirement Party for Phil Rush. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who traveled to Alexandria, Virginia, to celebrate Phil Rush and his incredible career! A Letter From Leadership
The past three months have been an exciting and transformative time for our team at The Diallo Group. We’ve been moving full speed ahead, growing, evolving, and deepening our impact in meaningful ways.
We’re thrilled to welcome our new Director of Design, a strategic addition who brings fresh energy and leadership to our creative practice. We also proudly introduced a new intern, marking our commitment to investing in the next generation of design and planning professionals. Guiding and mentoring young talent is not only part of our mission, it’s part of our legacy.
We also welcomed a new Marketing Manager, who has already been instrumental in refining our brand presence and providing critical support with the Adobe suite across multiple client-facing projects. Their contributions have elevated the quality and consistency of how we present our work to the world.
In May, several team members had the opportunity to attend the JETC Conference, where we connected with industry leaders and forged new relationships that will strengthen our path forward. We’re also proud to share that we’ve expanded into Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) work, with new engagements in Cairo, Egypt, a major milestone for our international portfolio.
We took time to celebrate a meaningful transition on the retirement of the founder and principal of Onyx Group, whose legacy continues to shape our identity and values. As we honor our past, we’re also embracing the future one filled with collaboration, innovation, and growth.
Whether through adding new projects or simply coming together more intentionally as a team, we are growing, not just in numbers, but in connection, capability, and clarity of purpose.
As the saying goes, “Change is hard at first, messy in the middle, and gorgeous at the end.” Growth often requires us to stretch, adapt, and reimagine but it always moves us forward. We’re proud of the changes underway and the strong trajectory ahead.
With several recent wins for upcoming task orders and exciting opportunities on the horizon, our future is bright and we’re glad you’re on this journey with us.
Warmly,
